What is your cancellation policy?

As a small business, we depend on maximising occupancy and cancellations often result in an empty tent due to booking lead times. Please contact us immediately if you wish to vary or cancel your booking.

90% of paid prepayments refundable when cancelled 21 days before arrival or earlier.

Any money paid is non refundable in the event of a cancellation or variation within 21 days of your stay.

No refund can be given in the event of non-arrival, any unused services or unused nights due to flight / weather disruption.

Bookings for the Christmas and New Year holiday period require 42 days notice of cancellation or all monies will be forfeited.

All cancellations must be received via email from the email address linked to the reservation.

A variation of the booking which reduces the number of nights stay will be a treated as a cancellation of the booking in respect of those nights. No refund will be made for a variation to the extent that it breaches our minimum nights’ stay policy. Rates are subject to change without notice.

Bookings may be transferred to another guest only with managements prior written approval and the payment of a $50 variation fee.

What is supplied for my stay?

Your tent will be set up for your arrival with linen, pillows, blankets, robes and towels which must be left where supplied in the bedrooms or bath room on departure. Swimming towels are not included.

You will find some bathroom products including hand and body wash, shampoo and conditioner. A starter pack is provided consisting of tea, coffee and sugar. Washing up liquid, scourer and a dish-washing cloth are also provided. Please note these items are provided as a starter pack only for your convenience. If you run out you will need to replenish the items for the duration of your stay.

The tent is fully self-contained and daily servicing is not provided. For stays of five days or more, a complimentary mid-stay linen change is available.

What cooking facilities are in the tent?

The tent has its own BBQ with pots and pans and a pizza stone, coffee machine, toaster, kettle, fridge and freezer.

Is there phone reception and WiFi?

Yes, there is phone reception. No, we do not yet have WiFi set up.

How many tents are there?

We have one tent, allowing our guests the ultimate privacy.

Are you pet friendly?

We sadly can’t accommodate any pets.

Can I bring my baby/child?

We are an adult only site and unfortunately do not have facilities suitable for children. You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to make a booking and stay.

    Vehicle access

    Please watch out for animals and wildlife and drive to the conditions.

    In order to get to the property, you will need to travel on approximately 6 kms of gravel road. The road is 2WD accessible however caution needs to be maintained while driving this road. Our roads are not suitable for low lying cars i.e. sports cars. 

    The speed limit on our property is 20km/h, please respect this to minimise dust disturbance, for your own safety and for the integrity of the road.

    Please stick to the dirt/gravel roads, please do not drive into the paddocks. This will only cause damage to your vehicle and to our paddocks. 

    Do we bring our own food and drinks?

      Yes. We do supply drinking water.

      Does it get cold or hot in the tent?

      Our tent structure has the ability to create natural heating and cooling. We have however have installed a reverse-cycle air conditioner if required.

      Where exactly is Riverbank Glamping?

      Riverbank Glamping is set on a private 1,000 acre property, an easy 3.5 hour drive north-west of Brisbane, and conveniently located less than a 10-minute drive to Chinchilla.

      How safe/secluded is Riverbank Glamping?

      We don’t have any predatorial animals and we’re situated on a 1,000 acre property at the end of a road, meaning that you’ll be well away from any prying onlookers. Every step has been taken to ensure you have it all to yourself! We have some of the most spectacular wildlife in Australia (including koalas). Still do exercise common sense, don’t feed the animals, don’t leave food unattended and wear footwear when stepping off the decking. If there are any problems our management team are on call and live approx 3km from the tent.

      Can we watch movies in the tent?

      A 200 inch movie projector is provided in the tent with apps such as Netflix and more.

      Can I use a hair dryer and/or hair straighter?

      Our tent relies on generator for power which is carefully calculated to power the kitchen appliances, TV and phone chargers. Please ensure the air conditioner is switched off if you wish to use any external electronics. Any tampering with the electronics in the tent can result in disruption to your stay and/or damage to our equipment.
